Crystalline Silica Exposure Control Plan

Respirable crystalline silica is very fine sand that can be released in the air during many of the regular activities of construction. It is, “…created when cutting, sawing, grinding, drilling, and crushing stone, rock, concrete, brick, block, and mortar.” The purpose of this plan is to minimize the number of workers exposed to the particulates that can be released in the air during these activities, which can be especially dangerous without proper ventilation.
